FOR THOSE WHO WANT TO PLAY SINGLES OVER CHRISTMAS - Christmas Box League - ENTRY CLOSES Midnight Friday 6th December

Entry is now open for the December-January round of the SINGLES BOX LEAGUE. Please note that there is now a £5 entry fee (winner takes all for each group)

• If you want to play in this round of the singles box league, please enter by midnight Friday 6th December.
• To enter, simply email secretary@tenniskillen.com and confirm you want to enter.
• Subject to entries, we hope to have boxes of 4/5 players
• Players are expected to complete their 4 matches between Thursday 12th December and Sunday 2nd February so plenty of time to complete your matches.

Structure

Subject to entries, players will be placed in boxes of 4/5 of a similar standard and as such the box league format will cater FOR PLAYERS OF ALL ABILITIES .

ENTRY FEE

Entry Fee : £5 per person payable regardless if you end up not playing for any reason. This is to counter recent experience of some players not completing their matches. A player in each group will be selected to collect the £5 from each player. All fees collected for each group will go to the winner of each group.

WHO SHOULD PLAY:

• As all divisions are graded you will be against players of a similar standard to yourself and as such this box league format is suitable for players of all standards (INCLUDING BEGINNERS) .
• This league is open to all club members aged 16 and over (exception may be made for high performance juniors at discretion of committee)
• Only enter if you expect to be able to complete all of your matches

Match Formats

• All matches will be best of 3 Sets (2 Full sets and a CHAMPIONSHIP TIE BREAK)
• All matches will be SHORT DEUCE
• Please book 90 mins slots rather than two hours to help free courts for other players (90 mins should be enough with short deuce and a 5 min warmup)
• Please be on time for all your matches
